The Kraken Wakes by Sanskarans The Kraken Wakes by Sanskarans

Below the thunders of the upper deep;
Far far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides; above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumber'd and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages, and will lie
Battening upon huge seaworms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

- by Tennyson

What if the mythological creature rises in the modern world.Could we have a chance ...?

I was going for an entirely different Kraken here .

I used references for picturing Helicopter others entirely from mind .Followed 80's cinematic colour pattern.

Hope you all will like it.

Thank you.

this is so awesome. i think we'd be able to kill it quite easily though, a missile or two to the head would likely do it, maybe anyway.

I love the myth meets technology concept here! Plus the style is great! Imagine what would happen if the Kraken DID wake and wreak havoc upon us? One day, all our human technology will wake the creatures buried deep within our memories. The legends will live gain.

Cool picture.
